He also helped raise funds to build a residential treatment center in Lebanon, to address the growing issue of substance abuse in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">As COO for Samaritan hospitals,&nbsp;Cahill drove systemwide integration and operational alignment. She holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance from Oregon State University and a master\u2019s in business administration from Bushnell University, and she completed the American College of Healthcare Executives Executive Leadership Program in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As vice president of Strategy &amp; Planning, Balzer leads Samaritan\u2019s enterprise strategy, business planning and system goal deployment. Since 2018, she has overseen systemwide performance and continuous improvement efforts, generating more than&nbsp;$258 million in enhanced revenue and cost reduction and contributing to Samaritan\u2019s long-term financial stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Balzer provides&nbsp;system-level executive leadership&nbsp;for several key organizational functions, including&nbsp;Business Planning, Foundations, Government Relations, Grants &amp; Sponsored Programs, Marketing &amp; Communications, and the Project Management Office. After leaving law practice, she worked in compliance with Sutter Health, Banner Health and Children\u2019s Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, Ann &amp; Robert H. Lurie Children\u2019s Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">She serves on the Advisory Council for the Northwestern University Regulatory Compliance program, where she formerly taught coursework on health care compliance. She earned a bachelor\u2019s degree from Oregon State University and is a 2016 graduate of Leadership Corvallis. In her role as vice president of central operations for Samaritan Foundations, Gilmour oversees operations and fundraising efforts throughout the system. She was included on the inaugural Association for Healthcare Philanthropy 40 Under 40 list in 2018 and currently serves on the United Way of Benton &amp; Lincoln Counties Community Impact Committee.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n\n\n<section id=\"block_2add0cd5813ba234abc724d5ee4fa6ae\" class=\"shs-block block-section grid-container has-gray-warm-background-color\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"entry-content\">\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Brent Godek, MD, MHCDS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/samhealth.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/godek-brent-1508841974.jpg\" alt=\"Brent Godek, MD\" class=\"wp-image-49292\" style=\"width:350px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Vice President &amp; Chief Population Health Officer, Samaritan Health Services<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Dr. Godek joined Samaritan in 2010 as a family medicine physician. He soon stepped up to serve in leadership roles of increasing responsibility, including primary care medical director, senior medical director of the Medical Specialties division of Samaritan Medical Group and chief medical officer of Samaritan Health Plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">In his work with Samaritan Health Plans, Dr. Godek brought the perspective of a practicing primary care physician and experienced leader to improve member experience and outcomes. This was achieved by promoting wellness with preventive medicine as well as considering social determinants of health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">As chief population health officer for Samaritan Health Services, Dr. Godek continues and accelerates these efforts to deliver care with a population health approach, focusing on the health of entire communities and developing a deeper understanding of the many factors impacting lives of patients. This approach seeks to identify the root causes of health concerns and implement sustainable solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Dr. Godek received a bachelor\u2019s degree in chemistry from Princeton University, where he also helped lead his football team to the Ivy League championship in his senior year. He earned a medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and completed a family medicine residency at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, Pennsylvania. In this role, he provides guidance on all aspects of health care law with a focus on regulatory matters and strategic and transactional projects, including affiliations, joint ventures and physician alignment initiatives.&nbsp;His responsibilities extend to the oversight, growth and development of several important areas of the organization, including legal services and corporate governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Prior to joining Samaritan as assistant general counsel in 2010, Jacobsen was a prosecutor with the Lancaster County Attorney\u2019s Office in Lincoln, Nebraska. In addition to his work at Samaritan, he is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Health Lawyers Association and the Oregon Society of Healthcare Executives. He earned a master\u2019s in business administration from University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Johnson brings extensive health care leadership experience, most recently serving as system chief operating officer at Renown Health in Reno, Nevada, Northern Nevada\u2019s largest health system. He then earned a master\u2019s in health care leadership from Western Governors University, Salt Lake City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Keteri has decades of experience in nurse management and executive management. He began his career as a travel nurse in Hawaii before accepting a position at PeaceHealth Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver in 1987.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">He joined Samaritan in 2015, as the vice president of Patient Care Services at Samaritan Albany General Hospital. In that role, he focused on improving patient experience, implementing resources and helping his team attain hospital recognitions including as a certified Primary Stroke Center, a certified total hip and knee replacement program and a five-star hospital, awarded by the Centers for Medicare &amp; Medicaid Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Through his leadership, Samaritan Albany General Hospital was elevated from the 45<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;percentile to the 75<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;percentile in overall patient experience. LEAN methodology was applied in the Emergency Department and consistently exceeds national benchmarks for reducing waste and wait times.
