Marty Cahill, MBA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A Massachusetts native, Cahill received a bachelor\u2019s degree in sociology from University of Oregon and a master\u2019s in business administration with an emphasis in organizational behavior from Marylhurst University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cahill has worked for Samaritan since 2007 in roles including director of physician relations, CEO of Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital, COO and then CEO of Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital, and COO for Samaritan hospitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a leader, Cahill has played a major role in implementing needed programs, navigating system changes as well as recruitment, retention and development of highly skilled health care teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cahill helped implement Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital\u2019s hospitalist program and oversaw construction and operation of the Samaritan Early Learning Center.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Lebanon, Cahill led the expansion of the hospital\u2019s Emergency, Surgery and Same Day Care departments and developed a new primary and specialty care clinic and pharmacy. He also helped raise funds to build a residential treatment center in Lebanon, to address the growing issue of substance abuse in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As COO for Samaritan hospitals, Cahill drove systemwide integration and operational alignment. As system CEO, Cahill navigates Samaritan through the many challenges facing health care from the local, regional, state and national levels.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Larissa Balzer, MBA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Vice President of Strategy & Planning, Samaritan Health Services<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Balzer joined Samaritan Health Services in 2010 and brings more than a decade of experience in strategy, performance improvement and system integration. She holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance from Oregon State University and a master\u2019s in business administration from Bushnell University, and she completed the American College of Healthcare Executives Executive Leadership Program in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As vice president of Strategy & Planning, Balzer leads Samaritan\u2019s enterprise strategy, business planning and system goal deployment. Since 2018, she has overseen systemwide performance and continuous improvement efforts, generating more than $258 million in enhanced revenue and cost reduction and contributing to Samaritan\u2019s long-term financial stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Balzer provides system-level executive leadership for several key organizational functions, including Business Planning, Foundations, Government Relations, Grants & Sponsored Programs, Marketing & Communications, and the Project Management Office. In this role, she focuses on organizational alignment, disciplined execution and advancing initiatives that support strategic growth, operational excellence and mission impact across the system.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Bruce Butler, MBA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Senior Vice President & Chief Executive Officer, InterCommunity Health Network & Samaritan Health Plans<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Butler joined Samaritan in June 2019 to oversee health plans operations. He earned a bachelor\u2019s degree from Stanford University and a master\u2019s in business administration in finance from University of Chicago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His previous roles include chief executive officer of Valley Health Plan, a county-owned managed care organization in San Jose, California, chief strategy officer for the University of California health care systems and chief underwriter for Presbyterian Health Plan in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He previously served on the board of directors of Ventures LLC, a Seattle-based nonprofit organization that provides access to business training, capital, coaching and hands-on learning opportunities for entrepreneurs with limited resources, the California Public Hospital Association and the New Mexico Health Insurance Alliance. <\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Anne Daly, RN, JD<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Anne Daly is a registered nurse, health care attorney and compliance professional with work experience in all three disciplines across a variety of settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She earned her nursing degree from Palomar College in Southern California, a bachelor\u2019s degree from the University of Maryland, and a juris doctor from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daly worked 16 years in nursing before earning her law degree and practicing health care law in Washington, D.C. After leaving law practice, she worked in compliance with Sutter Health, Banner Health and Children\u2019s Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children\u2019s Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She serves on the Advisory Council for the Northwestern University Regulatory Compliance program, where she formerly taught coursework on health care compliance. She holds CHC, CHRC, CHPC, CCEP certifications; bar memberships in Maryland and the District of Columbia; and a California registered-nursing license.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Gilmour joined Samaritan Health Services in 2014, following service as director of operations for the Providence Alaska Foundation in Anchorage. She earned a bachelor\u2019s degree from Oregon State University and is a 2016 graduate of Leadership Corvallis. In her role as vice president of central operations for Samaritan Foundations, Gilmour oversees operations and fundraising efforts throughout the system. She was included on the inaugural Association for Healthcare Philanthropy 40 Under 40 list in 2018 and currently serves on the United Way of Benton & Lincoln Counties Community Impact Committee.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Vice President & Chief Population Health Officer, Samaritan Health Services<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Godek joined Samaritan in 2010 as a family medicine physician. He soon stepped up to serve in leadership roles of increasing responsibility, including primary care medical director, senior medical director of the Medical Specialties division of Samaritan Medical Group and chief medical officer of Samaritan Health Plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his work with Samaritan Health Plans, Dr. Godek brought the perspective of a practicing primary care physician and experienced leader to improve member experience and outcomes. This was achieved by promoting wellness with preventive medicine as well as considering social determinants of health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As chief population health officer for Samaritan Health Services, Dr. Godek continues and accelerates these efforts to deliver care with a population health approach, focusing on the health of entire communities and developing a deeper understanding of the many factors impacting lives of patients. This approach seeks to identify the root causes of health concerns and implement sustainable solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Godek received a bachelor\u2019s degree in chemistry from Princeton University, where he also helped lead his football team to the Ivy League championship in his senior year. He earned a medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and completed a family medicine residency at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, Pennsylvania. He received a master\u2019s degree in health care delivery science from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. <\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Tyler Jacobsen, JD<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Vice President & Chief Legal Officer, Samaritan Health Services<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jacobsen has served as Samaritan\u2019s vice president and chief legal officer since 2014. In this role, he provides guidance on all aspects of health care law with a focus on regulatory matters and strategic and transactional projects, including affiliations, joint ventures and physician alignment initiatives. His responsibilities extend to the oversight, growth and development of several important areas of the organization, including legal services and corporate governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to joining Samaritan as assistant general counsel in 2010, Jacobsen was a prosecutor with the Lancaster County Attorney\u2019s Office in Lincoln, Nebraska. In addition to his work at Samaritan, he is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Health Lawyers Association and the Oregon Society of Healthcare Executives. He also serves on the board of directors of the Medical Legal Partnership of Oregon and the City of Corvallis Police Review Board. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He earned a bachelor\u2019s degree from Hastings College and a juris doctor from Willamette University College of Law in Salem, Oregon.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n\n\n

A national award-winning senior executive with more than 20 years of health care experience, Johnson brings deep expertise in strategic, operational and financial areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Johnson attended University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, where he earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in accounting. He earned a master\u2019s in business administration from University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Johnson brings extensive health care leadership experience, most recently serving as system chief operating officer at Renown Health in Reno, Nevada, Northern Nevada\u2019s largest health system. Before that, he spent several years in executive leadership roles at PeaceHealth, including serving in a progression of regional CFO, COO and CEO roles in Longview and Vancouver, Washington. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the CEO for Samaritan hospitals in the valley region, Johnson drives the strategy for alignment with the system’s vision, partnering with the governing board, clinicians and organizational leaders to translate the institution\u2019s mission into financial and operational optimization.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Dan Keteri, RN<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Vice President & Chief Nurse Executive, Samaritan Health Services<\/strong>
Hospital Administrator, Samaritan Albany General Hospital<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keteri earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in nursing from Finlandia University in Hancock, Michigan and a second bachelor\u2019s degree in organizational communication from Marylhurst University. He then earned a master\u2019s in health care leadership from Western Governors University, Salt Lake City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keteri has decades of experience in nurse management and executive management. He began his career as a travel nurse in Hawaii before accepting a position at PeaceHealth Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver in 1987.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He joined Samaritan in 2015, as the vice president of Patient Care Services at Samaritan Albany General Hospital. In that role, he focused on improving patient experience, implementing resources and helping his team attain hospital recognitions including as a certified Primary Stroke Center, a certified total hip and knee replacement program and a five-star hospital, awarded by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through his leadership, Samaritan Albany General Hospital was elevated from the 45th<\/sup> percentile to the 75th<\/sup> percentile in overall patient experience. LEAN methodology was applied in the Emergency Department and consistently exceeds national benchmarks for reducing waste and wait times. Keteri also led a project to enable all patients the privacy of single-occupancy rooms. He also oversaw the establishment of Sarah\u2019s Place, the only 24\/7, freestanding sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) center in Oregon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keteri\u2019s duties now include executive leadership of Samaritan Albany General Hospital and its associated primary and specialty physician clinics.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Lesley Ogden, MD, MBA, FACEP<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital & Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Ogden serves as chief executive officer for Samaritan\u2019s two critical access hospitals on the central Oregon Coast. Previously, she served as chief operations officer at Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital and as interim CEO at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital and worked clinically as an emergency and urgent care clinician.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Ogden is residency trained and board certified in emergency medicine and brings a wealth of clinical and leadership experience. She received her medical degree from Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and completed her emergency medicine residency at Oregon Health & Science University. In addition, Dr. Ogden received her master\u2019s degree in business administration from The Citadel, South Carolina, and a bachelor\u2019s degree in marketing from Troy State University, Alabama. Dr. Ogden previously served as president of the medical staff of Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital and currently serves as a trustee on both the North Lincoln Hospital Foundation and the Pacific Communities Health District Foundation boards. She championed new replacement hospital building projects in both Lincoln City and Newport and the innovative, efficient and state-of-the-art hospital facilities opened in 2019 and 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a member of the Lincoln County coastal community, Dr. Ogden is an active Rotarian in Lincoln City and served as club President in 2016 and 2017. She serves on the board of directors of the Economic Development Alliance of Lincoln County as well as the Oregon Coast Community College Foundation board.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Julie Osgood, MS, DrPH<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Vice President & Chief Executive Officer, Samaritan Medical Group<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


Julie Osgood joined Samaritan Medical Group in 2023 as the chief operating officer. In that role, she collaborated with leaders across the Samaritan system to ensure efficient and effective operations of the medical group. In late 2025, she became the chief executive officer for the medical group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As chief executive officer she provides guidance and oversight for ongoing initiatives such as increasing access to care and moving the group towards a value-based care model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She came to Samaritan from University of Washington Medicine Valley Medical Center where she served as vice president of the clinic network. There, she was responsible for operations, quality and performance improvement, patient safety and population health. Previously, she spent 19 years at a large integrated health care system, MaineHealth, overseeing clinical integration and population health programs to help improve care and patient outcomes in Maine and New Hampshire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Osgood holds a master\u2019s degree in health policy and management from the Muskie School of Public Service at the University of Southern Maine and a doctorate in public health leadership from the Gillings School of Global Public Health at The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. <\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Scott Russell<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Vice President of Human Resources, Samaritan Health Services<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Russell serves as the vice president of Human Resources for Samaritan. In this position, he oversees the human resources functions serving more than 6,000 employees, including Compensation Benefits & Technical HR, Employee Health & Safety, Employee & Labor Relations, HR Operations, Learning & Development and Talent Acquisition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He spends his time helping Samaritan recruit, train and retain employees, working to improve the employment experience so Samaritan employees may best serve patients and the community.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Russell received an associate degree in general studies-communications from Ricks College, now known as Brigham Young University – Idaho, and a bachelor\u2019s degree in marriage, family and human development from Brigham Young University in Utah. Russell is a member of and active in local and state chapters of Society for Human Resources Management. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Russell joined Samaritan in June 2006 as a staff recruiter which led to a variety of other HR-related roles, including assistant department manager, Labor Relations director and Employee Relations director. He transitioned to the vice president role in April 2023. Russell\u2019s professional journey illustrates Samaritan\u2019s commitment to career development opportunities.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Kimberly Schauer, MBA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Vice President of Marketing & Communications, Samaritan Health Services<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schauer leads Samaritan\u2019s systemwide Marketing & Communications team, supporting strategic engagement with employees, providers, patients, partners and consumers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before joining Samaritan in 2022, Schauer served at Asante, a community-based not-for-profit health system in Southern Oregon, where she spearheaded infrastructure development to support digital and traditional marketing, business development and communications efforts. Under her leadership the department earned eight national and international recognitions in 2021. Prior to that, she directed system marketing at PeaceHealth, a $3 billion health system serving three states in the Pacific Northwest, and led marketing, public relations and communications at other regional nonprofits and health care organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schauer earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in English and journalism from Auburn University and a master\u2019s in business administration from Pacific University.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Daniel B. Smith, CPA, MBA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Samaritan Health Services<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smith joined Samaritan in 1992. He has served the system in various capacities, including controller and chief financial officer for Samaritan Albany General Hospital and then vice president and corporate controller for Samaritan\u2019s corporate operations. In 2012, Smith was named chief financial officer and then in 2018, added senior vice president to his responsibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smith is a certified public accountant in Oregon and a fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in accounting from California State University, Chico, and a master\u2019s degree in business administration from George Fox University, Portland, Oregon.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n\n\n
