Mullins, DHA, Endowed Scholarship for Health Care Education<\/strong> is awarded to students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a health care-related field. The purpose of the Jeanne Hazleton Scholarship Fund is to honor Jeanne\u2019s lifetime service and contribution to the community as a practicing doula and midwife and to encourage women to enter or continue their education in the birthing profession. Erkkila, M.D. Endowment for Health and Human Performance.&nbsp;Established in 1994 through a series of gifts from Ralph Hull of Monroe, the endowment is managed by the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/samhealth.org\/giving\/our-foundations\/#Corvallis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation<\/a>&nbsp;in Corvallis. The scholarship is named in honor of Virginia Welch, a head nurse who became Good Samaritan\u2019s administrator in 1951 and served until 1967. Up to $3,000 is awarded to each student and students who receive the scholarship are eligible to apply for a second year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scholarship is awarded in honor of Bill and Olga Gribler, Newport residents since 1947. Bill taught music, providing entertainment throughout the community, and Olga worked for the phone company and later the Bank of Newport.
