He earned a bachelor\u2019s degree from Bryan College and a medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am excited to stay with the Samaritan family,\u201d said Dr. Sweeny. \u201cBeing able to stay connected with this community and remain in a health care system with a mission that fits my style of practice is special to me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keeping in mind the complexities of the body, Dr. Sweeny recognizes that each patient and their situation is unique and deciding if surgery is right often is dependent on many factors.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cUnderstanding each situation and discussing the best options with patients and their families is critically important to me,\u201d said Dr. Sweeny. \u201cI\u2019m fortunate to have experience navigating Samaritan\u2019s health care system and can connect patients with the resources available in our community, whether that means surgery or not.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his spare time, Dr. Sweeny enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring the beautiful Oregon outdoors, summer baseball, gardening and good food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Sweeny is accepting new patients.
