{"id":24481,"date":"2023-11-06T16:53:00","date_gmt":"2023-11-07T00:53:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/samhealth.org\/?p=24481"},"modified":"2024-12-17T15:31:15","modified_gmt":"2024-12-17T23:31:15","slug":"new-sweet-home-medical-center-opens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/samhealth.org\/news\/new-sweet-home-medical-center-opens\/","title":{"rendered":"New Sweet Home Medical Center Opens"},"content":{"rendered":"<article class=\"article\">\n\t<header class=\"header\">\n\t\t<span class=\"type\"><\/span>\t\t<h1>New Sweet Home Medical Center Opens<\/h1>\t\t<time>November 6, 2023<\/time>\n\t<\/header>\n\t<div id=\"block_a7d0634c35bfbf2702d90b523a08dabd\" class=\"shs-block block-news-article entry-content\">\n\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<p>Over 100 excited community members gathered for the <a href=\"https:\/\/samhealth.org\/find-a-location\/samaritan-health-clinic-sweet-home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sweet Home Medical Center<\/a> ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house on Friday, Oct. 27, to mark an extraordinary milestone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The celebration began with heartfelt remarks from Marty Cahill, CEO of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/samhealth.org\/find-a-location\/samaritan-lebanon-community-hospital\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital<\/a>, Milt Moran, Lebanon Community Hospital Board member and chairman of the Capital Campaign committee, Juliette Asuncion, DO, medical director of Samaritan Health Clinic \u2013 Sweet Home, and Wes Sedlacek, chaplain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSamaritan\u2019s mission is \u2018building healthier communities together,\u2019 and we want to ensure that quality health care is available and convenient, close to where people live,\u201d said Doug Boysen, president and CEO of Samaritan Health Services. \u201cThe opening of this building and the services offered reinforce our commitment to increasing access to health care across the region that we serve.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 17,500-square-foot building focuses on improving access to health care with clinics offering\u00a0family medicine, walk-in care\u00a0and medication management as well as a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/samhealth.org\/find-a-location\/samaritan-pharmacy-sweet-home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">retail pharmacy<\/a>\u00a0with a drive-thru window and a helipad. The medical center officially opened its doors to the public on Monday, Oct. 30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur team is absolutely thrilled,\u201d said Dr. Asuncion. \u201cHaving the opportunity to provide the community with expanded walk-in hours and a pharmacy is a real game-changer.
