This annual event brings people together to remember loved ones who have passed and to support hospice patients and their families.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\">This year\u2019s event <\/span>offers both in person events and a virtual option. For those wishing to attend in person, two local remembrances will be held:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Coast Event:&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/samhealth.org\/event\/light-up-a-life-remembrance-event-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sunday, Nov. 2 \u2013 in Newport<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valley Event:&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/samhealth.org\/event\/light-up-a-life-remembrance-event-3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sunday, Nov. 16&nbsp; \u2013&nbsp; in Lebanon<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For those wishing to participate in the virtual event,<span style=\"color: #333333\"><span style=\"color: #333333\"> you can join online at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/samhealth.org\/health-services\/all-services\/hospice\/light-up-a-life-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">samhealth.org\/LUAL2025<\/a><\/strong> <\/span>beginning on <strong>Friday, Nov. 21<\/strong>. Visitors will be able to see reflections from hospice chaplains, a memorial slideshow of hospice patients and the annual candle lighting tribute.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #42352d\">\u201cThe holiday season can be difficult when grieving a loss. With comfort and end-of-life care being amongst the most essential services, our Evergreen Hospice philosophy affirms life and supports the dying and grieving processes,\u201d said Cindy Thelen, bereavement coordinator at Evergreen Hospice House in Albany. \u201cOur autumn Light up a Life ceremonies, both in person and virtual, are&nbsp;moving occasions to pause and comfort each other, share the journey of loss, grief, love and healing, as well as mourn those who have gone before us.
