She specializes in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She earned a bachelor\u2019s degree at San Diego State University and a master\u2019s in physician assistant studies from Pacific University Health Professionals Campus.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When she was an 8-year-old, she injured her knee. Instead of being afraid of the treatment she received, she was fascinated by what the medical professionals did to help her heal.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe more I understood and learned about medicine, the more I knew I wanted that to be my career,\u201d Santoni said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Santoni first worked as an orthopedic technician.
