Sessions offer an uplifting evening with learning, connection and support — where attendees leave with supportive tools.

Week 1, March 30: Intro to survivorship breathwork and chair yoga
Week 2, April 6: Managing overwhelm
Week 3, April 13: Completing the stress response
Week 4, April 20: Living authentically you
Week 5, April 27: Healing through art
Week 6, May 4: Wrap up and culinary medicine

We encourage participants attend all sessions as consistently as possible.

De-stress With Your Senses https://samhealth.org/event/de-stress-with-your-senses/ Sun, 03 May 2026 20:00:00 +0000 https://samhealth.org/?post_type=tribe_events&p=69628 De-stress With Your Senses is offered as part of the Nature’s Medicine: Rest & Rejuvenate in Lebanon’s Japanese Gardens series and gives participants a chance to experience the garden through guided activities that engage all five senses. This program immerses participants in the healing gardens through a series of short sessions designed to awaken the senses and promote relaxation. Participants will rotate through five activities, including a therapeutic garden walk (sight), a succulent plant activity (touch), tea tasting (taste), sachet making (smell) and a musical experience (sound). The experience is structured as one continuous session, and participants are encouraged to attend for the full afternoon. This event is geared toward adults 18 and older, and pets are not permitted.

This two-day class provides 8 hours of learning and follow-up support to help you manage diabetes with confidence. Topics go beyond nutrition to include blood sugar management, safe physical activity, meal routines, and stress management to reduce complications.

When: Monday, May 4 and Monday, May 11 from 8 a.m. to noon
Where: Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital in conference rooms 1 & 2

Note: A referral from a primary care provider is required. Ask your primary care provider for a referral. (A phone call or MyChart message can initiate your request.)  This class is often covered by insurance and is helpful for those with a new diagnosis or who need a refresher on managing diabetes effectively.

Using the Injoy program, topics include:

  • What to expect during pregnancy, labor and childbirth.
  • Medicated and non-medicated comfort measures.
  • Medical interventions associated with complications.
  • Cesarean birth.
  • Care of the birthing parent and infant during the first hours, days and weeks postpartum.
  • Breastfeeding.
  • A tour of the birthing center will be offered after the final class.

This class is for expectant parents in the third trimester. Class sizes are limited and fill quickly, so register today!

To help, Samaritan Evergreen Hospice is offering free Grief Support Group meetings in Lincoln City led by a trained medical social worker. All are welcome to attend these free sessions.

Participants will connect with others who understand their loss so they can work together to move through their grief. The death being grieved may have taken place recently or a long time ago because there is no time limit to grief. Each session is led by a trained medical social worker and is a safe place to share your experiences.

Information will include what to expect while breastfeeding, how to establish a good milk supply, prevent and treat common problems, normal infant feeding behavior, pumping, milk storage and more.

It is recommended that this class be taken during or after the sixth month of pregnancy.
